OneNeck completes SSAE 18 examinations

OneNeck IT Solutions announces completion of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 18 examinations.

The SSAE 18 examinations, conducted by Schellman & Company, LLC, an independent, third-party certified public accounting (CPA) firm, included review of OneNeck’s top-tier data centers in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon and Wisconsin.

Upon completion of the examinations, Schellman & Company opined on OneNeck’s description of their systems, suitability of design and operational effectiveness of the controls throughout the review period for the System and Organization Controls (SOC) for the following reports:

  • SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 for Colocation Services
  • SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 for ReliaCloud/IaaS
  • SOC 1 Type 2 for Enterprise Application Management/Managed Services

SSAE 18 enforces stringent requirements regarding clarity, length and complexity of many AICPA standards. It also requires date/time stamp evidence and queries for how certain populations are generated.

“OneNeck deliberately seeks out the most rigorous and internationally recognized standards,” stated Katie McCullough, Chief Information Security Officer at OneNeck. “Our customers need complete confidence that we have the controls in place to protect their mission-critical IT infrastructure within our data centers. Securing third-party validation allows us to demonstrate our commitment to maintaining a compliant operating environment, thereby ensuring their peace of mind.”

Moving forward, OneNeck will be completing the SSAE 18 examinations in the Fall to better align with customer’s financial audits, specifically the Sarbanes, Oxley Act (SOX) audit.
