Minneapolis-based Premium Waters selects OneNeck
Multi-year contract includes managed services, ReliaCloud, professional services and colocation within OneNeck’s Tier III data center in Minnesota.
OneNeck IT Solutions announced today the signing of a multi-year contract with Minneapolis-based Premium Waters. As part of the contract, Premium Waters will be leveraging OneNeck’s ReliaCloud hosted and managed services solution with integration into their Uptime Institute Tier III Design Certified data center in Eden Prairie, Minn. They will also be leveraging OneNeck’s professional services team to help move from an on-premises data center to the cloud.
“We looked for quality,” said Mike Hesse, director of IT for Premium Waters. “Pricing was also important, but quality and partnership were the most critical to us. From the beginning, OneNeck demonstrated a commitment to both. As we went through the process, we recognized few companies have the experience the OneNeck team has. Their employees are super knowledgeable. They listened and understood our needs. It was clear this was not the first time they were having this type of conversation. They were obviously comfortable in this role in addition to being very helpful and professional.”
As a company, Premium Waters made a strategic decision to move their IT from on-premises to the cloud. With seven primary offices, and nearly 30 other locations with varying IT requirements, the company needed a redundant system that would allow for testing their IT platform without impacting the overall business. Premium Waters initially reached out to OneNeck for support of their JD Edwards platform a few years ago after moving to a newer version. Once the ERP platform was updated and stable, the company was ready to explore moving their data center to the cloud.
“Our office is in a historic Minneapolis building that lacks redundancy in power and internet,” Hesse said. “Our infrastructure and equipment were no longer adequate. Updating them would require a major capital investment. Coupled with the fact that we have a small IT staff and summer is our busiest time of year, we needed more bandwidth.”
“It was time for a permanent solution, with flexibility,” stated Greg Nemec, president of Premium Waters. “Rather than become experts in lots of areas, we really wanted our IT group to focus on managing our systems. Then, we could hire experts to manage our infrastructure.”
Multiple vendors, including OneNeck, were invited to provide a quote on moving Premium Waters data center and services to the cloud. Hesse stated, “And OneNeck’s proposal quickly rose to the top.”
“I’m proud our team was able to showcase our ability to deliver a hybrid solution that would truly meet Premium Waters’ needs,” says Terry Swanson, president and CEO at OneNeck. “We established how our ReliaCloud service would enable them to leverage a fully-managed solution. Our group also successfully demonstrated our flexibility and interest in becoming a partner by showcasing our drive and commitment to deliver the right services. While the team at Premium Waters IT now focuses on their core business, our team cares for managing the solution.”
ReliaCloud is an enterprise-level hosted, private cloud that delivers the power and flexibility of a public cloud solution. However, it provides the security and performance required by enterprises with mission-critical computing needs. Built with industry-leading Cisco, EMC and VMware capabilities, ReliaCloud is ideal for traditional applications requiring reliable and scalable computing infrastructure.
OneNeck IT Solutions offers a full suite of hybrid IT solutions including cloud and hosting solutions, managed services, ERP application management, professional services and IT hardware. In addition to their state-of-the-art data center in Minnesota, OneNeck also has facilities in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Oregon and Wisconsin.
