A Message from the CEO

To all our valued OneNeck customers,

Communities around the world are navigating uncharted territory as they grapple with the COVID-19 outbreak. In times of great uncertainty we want to communicate what we know and Terry_Swanson-1what we are doing about it. The health and safety of our employees, customers, and communities we serve are our primary concern. I want to personally assure you that the senior leadership team here at OneNeck is taking this situation very seriously. Here are the measures we are taking to safely manage through this fluid situation while continuing to serve our customers to the very best of our abilities. When new information warrants further communication, you can trust we will share it immediately.

OneNeck is continuing to provide its high-quality services, and all of our products and services are fully operational. Our technical environments are monitored 24 hours a day, under the supervision of our geographically distributed teams. Our robust business continuity plans (BCP) were built and tested far in advance of this current situation and are reviewed, updated and tested continuously.  Additionally, these plans are audited (both internally and by an independent 3rd party) annually and these third-party audit results are made available to our customers. Please be assured, pandemic response is taken very seriously and included among the many scenarios accounted for within our business continuity planning and testing.

In the meantime, with our systems operating securely and without disruption, we have taken the following steps to protect the safety of our employees, customers and local communities:

  • All employees, except those who work in our data center facilities or those in roles not conducive to home-based work, have been encouraged to work remotely. We are confident that we can make accommodations for remote work using the collaboration and video conferencing capabilities readily at our disposal.
  • We have restricted all international travel. Domestic, work-related travel related to providing essential services to our customers is ongoing, while non-essential domestic business travel has also been restricted, and all conference/event attendance has been suspended or postponed.
  • We have asked all employees who have recently traveled internationally to a Level 2 or 3 area, as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), to notify our HR and business continuity teams immediately. They are required to self-isolate from the work environment for 14 days, even if they do not exhibit symptoms.
  • OneNeck’s advanced services team will perform project tasks remotely whenever possible. When on-site fieldwork is mandatory, our teams will work with our customers to find a mutually acceptable solution.
  • We know that many of our customers are taking steps to enable remote work for employees and are implementing restrictions against third-party vendors visiting their facilities. Similarly, we will also limit non-essential guests and vendors from visiting OneNeck offices.
  • For OneNeck’s data centers, only essential visits are permitted. And, we are reminding all visitors to refrain from entering any of our facilities if they are exhibiting any symptoms or have been recently exposed to someone with the virus.
  • For essential guests and vendors entering any OneNeck data center facility we have implemented the following hygiene practices to ensure their health and well-being:
    • Disinfecting all data center, lobby surfaces, and customer cabinets with Lysol and bleach twice daily.
    • We are wiping down and disinfecting targeted areas and surfaces that any visitors have come into contact with as needed.
    • We have anti-bacterial soap and hand sanitizer available for visitor use while at the data center.

Many of our customers have told us that business continuity has become a top priority as remote work policies are enacted. If this is a similar concern for you, please be assured OneNeck can provide immediate help. Our advisory team can help you assess, plan, and deliver remediation to keep your business protected as we weather this fast-moving public health crisis together.

We will continue to monitor information from the CDC, the World Health Organization (WHO) and other state and local agencies to ensure our measures remain up to date with the progress of the virus. Please know that OneNeck will work tirelessly to deliver high-quality and timely services during this period. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your OneNeck account team, or even me directly at terry.swanson@oneneck.com.

Stay safe and wash your hands.

In gratitude,

Terry Swanson

President and CEO

To prep for our workers working from home, we started an emergency project to get our Cisco phone users into a workable solution. We engaged your staff over the weekend, and they have been responsive and productive in getting this emergency handled with us. We have worked with most of these same OneNeck staff for years, and they are always amazing!
