This position is a junior Windows position responsible for working request and failures from our ticketing system, monitoring customer systems, documenting customer environments, performing windows administration tasks and assisting higher level resources with tasks and small projects as necessary. This position is responsible for administrating small to medium Windows server environments. The major focus of this position is working within our ticketing system to react to customer request and failures. As a junior administrator you will also execute key tasks and funtions that are required to support our customers. This is an entry level position with opportunity to learn and grow.
Skills Necessary
•Install, build, rack and support Windows OS based servers and related software •Experience using ticketing tool to react to failures, requests and escalations •Performs or assists in troubleshooting and diagnosing system errors and failures •Perform scheduled activities in accordance with strict policies and procedures •Understands commands and utilities for troubleshooting common problems •Ability to create users, home directories, and navigate through Active Directory, and monitor system resources •Participate in an on-call rotation •Willingness to be flexibility and to tackle challenges that open the opportunity to learn and grow •Helps maintain system documentation and produces customer reports •Excellent customer service skills
Education •2 years of college or equivalent post-high-school education •1-2 years experience in Windows technologies in a diverse operating environment
Specialized •Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) •Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) preferred(MCSA) preferred
Years of Related Experience 2 years experience in Windows Server customer environment
